A Full Day of Fun

There is always more to Grub & Groove than just food and music. We’ve got a full day of activities and fun for all ages to enjoy. Once you’ve found the perfect spot in the lawn (no tents allowed, bring a chair and blanket though!) you’ll have everything all around you.

12 food options from bbq to tacos, pizza to chicken, and plenty of dessert. 5 local bands will be on-stage throughout the day, playing country, r&b/soul, and rock hits. Little ones will love the Azar Orthodontics Kids Zone, with the bubble bus, music activities, and more. Take a break from it all in the Retail Village, stopping at the official merch tent to get this year’s newest items.

All drinks are sold by the event and provide a significant part of the proceeds. You will find cocktails and draft beer in the 4 Hands / 1220 Spirits Lily Pad Lounge, with oversized yard games to enjoy with friends. Canned beer, cocktails, soda, and water are also available. The night comes to an end with fireworks at 9:15pm, and an afterparty with deejay at the Lily Pad Lounge.

Know Where to Go

Located at the southwest corner of Francis Park at the intersection of Eichelberger St & Donovan Ave. Please be courteous of neighbors and follow all parking signs (back-in 45 degree angle). Once you’re in the park, this map will help you find your way!

A special thank you to our 2024 sponsors!

FAQ

No outside food or drink are allowed at the event. Our restaurant partners are giving back to support the park, and we request you support them by buying food. All alcohol sales are done directly by the event and create the heart of our proceeds. Coolers and bags will be checked at entry and turned away by permit of the City of St. Louis.

All merchandise and alcohol sales require a credit card as we will not be accepting cash on site. All participating restaurants must accept credit card as well but may also accept cash at their discretion.

No tents are allowed in the seating field as they obstruct the stage and fireworks view of other attendees. Golf carts are not allowed within the festival footprint for safety concerns and must be parked according to City of St. Louis regulations. Blankets and chairs are of course allowed and encouraged!

Grub & Groove is the fundraising arm of local non-profit South City Investment Corp, run by the same group of volunteers. The goal of our team is to raise funds for improvements of not only Francis Park but towards causes in the community surrounding the park. For additional information, please see the ‘Who We Are’ page.

Our volunteer sign-up is below! Should you be interested beyond those opportunities, please reach out via the contact form. We are currently looking for support with  marketing, a webmaster, and anyone passionate about giving their time to help in the planning of and execution of the event!

Get Involved Personally!

Grub & Groove is managed and produced by a team of 6 volunteers. Some of our team goes back to its founding in 2012, others joined in 2015, and our newest team members have been volunteering for 5 years! But it is the community of volunteers that help us during the event that are the lifeblood. Giving us some time to sell t-shirts or run the bars allows us to put more money back into the community.

Please consider donating some of your time and in return you get our thanks plus a cool t-shirt!
